What review management software is for
Most small businesses do not have a review problem, they have an asking problem. Happy customers rarely think to leave a review unless someone asks, and asking by hand after every job is the first thing that slips when the week gets busy.
Review management software takes over that routine. It asks every customer at the right time, gives them an easy way to respond, shows you what came back and helps you reply. Done consistently, that turns the work you already do into a steady run of recent Google reviews, which is what people look at when they compare you with the business down the road.
The four jobs Rocket Review does
- 01
Ask
Customers arrive from Xero, a CSV file or manual entry and wait in one approval queue. Approve each one or set rules, then Rocket Review sends a short email or SMS/TXT after the delay you choose.
- 02
Let customers choose
The request opens your own feedback page. Every customer gets the same two options: leave a public Google review, or send you private feedback. Nobody is filtered out.
- 03
Reply
Connect your Google Business Profile and new reviews sync into the dashboard each day. Reply from there, or start from an optional AI draft you edit before it is posted.
- 04
Track
See requests sent, responses, private feedback and how your Google rating and review count are moving, by location or across all of them on Pro.
Built around the software you already use
Rocket Review connects to Xero, so review requests can start from approved invoices without anyone keeping a separate list. If you do not use Xero, upload a CSV export from your job, booking or point-of-sale system, or add customers by hand. Both work on every plan.
For other software with an API, such as job management or booking systems, we assess a connector on request and confirm feasibility, scope, cost and timing before any work starts. See the integrations page for what is available today.
What it does not do
Rocket Review is focused on Google. It does not pull in reviews from other sites, it does not put review widgets on your website and it does not manage your business listings across directories. If you need all of that in one platform, a larger tool may suit you better, and our comparison pages lay out the differences honestly.
If your goal is more Google reviews and a simple way to keep on top of replies, the smaller tool is usually the better fit, and it costs less.
How to choose review management software
Before you sign up for anything, including us, check these:
- Where your customer list comes from, and whether the tool can read it without retyping
- Which channels you need: email only, or SMS/TXT as well, and whether TXT is charged per message
- Whether every customer gets the same choice, so you stay inside Google's review policy
- Whether prices are published, in your currency, and what happens after the trial
- How many Google locations you need to manage now and in a year
- Who answers when you need help, and in which time zone
If you are not sure what to say in your requests, start with our Google review request templates.

Common questions
- What is review management software?
- It is software that handles the routine work around customer reviews: asking customers for a review after a job, collecting private feedback, showing new reviews in one place, replying to them and reporting on how your rating changes. Rocket Review does this for Google reviews.
- Does Rocket Review work with software other than Xero?
- Xero is the only built-in integration today. CSV upload and manual entry work on every plan, so you can use Rocket Review with any system that exports a customer list. If your software has an API, contact us and we will confirm feasibility, scope, cost and timing for a connector before any work starts.
- Can I stop unhappy customers from reaching Google?
- No, and you should be wary of any tool that offers to. Google's review policy does not allow businesses to discourage negative reviews or to ask only happy customers. Rocket Review gives every customer the same two choices: leave a public Google review or send you private feedback.
- Can I reply to Google reviews from Rocket Review?
- Yes. Connect your Google Business Profile and your reviews sync into the dashboard each day. You can read and reply to them there, and start from an optional AI draft that you edit before it is posted.
- How many Google locations can I connect?
- Starter and Growth include one connected Google location. Pro includes up to five, with location-level and combined reporting.
- How does billing work?
- Choose a monthly or annual plan. Annual plans cost eleven months' worth, so one month is free. Every monthly and annual plan starts with a 14-day trial, and you can manage or cancel your subscription from the billing portal.
